Hi, I'm Eryn.
I'm an independent consultant and the founder of Innisfree Studio.
My work lives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and human-centred design. I help organizations make sense of complex challenges, uncover opportunities, and turn ideas into thoughtful strategies, programs, and experiences that work in the real world.
I’m especially drawn to work that has a meaningful impact on people and communities, from healthcare and aging to rural innovation and the systems that shape our everyday lives. Much of my work involves bringing together people with different perspectives, asking better questions, and creating clarity where there isn’t an obvious answer.

Research, strategy, and a human hand.
Research and insight
Qualitative research, interviews, workshops, and focus groups that uncover what matters, paired with market and landscape analysis to turn what we learn into clear, useful insight.
Innovation strategy
Making sense of complex challenges, identifying where the real opportunities are, and shaping them into concepts, strategies, programs, and pathways forward.
AI and operational innovation
Exploring how AI, automation, and better ways of working can reduce friction, improve efficiency, and free people up to focus on the work that requires a human touch.
Systems and implementation
Turning ideas into action through pilot design, evaluation, partnership development, and thoughtful approaches to implementation and scale.
Where I’ve worked, learned, and grown.
My background spans innovation consulting, strategy, operations, marketing, and entrepreneurship, which means I tend to look at problems from more than one angle.
I started my career in roles that taught me how organizations actually run: how products get made, how teams communicate, how customers respond, and where good ideas can get stuck between strategy and execution.
From there, I moved deeper into innovation and human-centred design. At The Idea Suite, I worked across public and private sector challenges, leading qualitative research, translating complex findings into strategic direction, and helping organizations explore new opportunities, services, and models.
That work eventually led me to AscendRural, where I now lead innovation strategy and design. My role spans research, priority-setting, program design, ecosystem building, and testing new ways to connect technology and innovation with the realities of rural communities.
Along the way, I’ve stayed close to the kinds of work that matter most to me personally: aging, caregiving, community, and the systems that shape people’s everyday lives.
